Hi, my name is Samantha, but please call me Sam. I am an enthusiastic and passionate Social Worker with a background in child and adolescent counseling. I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Miami University, and have worked with children and adolescents in various settings for the past several years. I not only work with individuals, but have also worked as a group counselor, a child and family mediator, and an educator when needed.
As we start working together, we will establish goals that are defined by you, and focus on your personal motivation, identity, and growth. I enjoy the uniqueness each and every one of my clients brings, and I will focus on making your sessions individualized. My goal is for us to find what works in your life, while still being yourself.
I know that we will have many challenges and fears to confront, but I am excited to work with you. Most of our time together will be spent using various treatment approaches. I am a very hands-on therapist and enjoy using play therapy, artistic therapies, and anything creative to connect.
