My main priority as a counselor is offer you a safe space to be who you are without worry about judgement and to work through whatever challenges you are facing. Everyone is different and as such responds to counseling differently.
I have been a nurse for 10 years but felt a calling in mental health and followed my heart into counseling. I feel one of my greatest strengths is my knowledge and experience gained in that decade of nursing; it allows me to see things from multiple perspectives for my clients and help them better understand themselves on multiple levels.
I am not interested in fixing you or telling you what you should do. I AM interested in hearing your story and helping you to develop curiosity about what is and what isn’t working for you.
