UNFORTUNATELY, I DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE OPENINGS FOR NEW CLIENTS (9/4/24). I WILL UPDATE HERE WHEN MY AVAILABILITY CHANGES. I am a clinical psychologist practicing in the heart of Harvard Square, helping graduate students, adults and couples to live their lives more fully and creatively. People describe me as a kind, welcoming, and thoughtful psychologist with a sense of humor and a practical and caring approach to psychotherapy. Over the past 30 years, I have worked privately and at local institutions, including Harvard University, Emerson College, Boston College, Tufts University, and Beth Israel Deaconess.
In my work, I listen, question and help with a blend of humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches for optimal support, challenge, and change. True therapy integrates wisdom and kindness to meet the unique needs of each person, going well beyond checklist and cookbook solutions toward substantial change.
Research studies repeatedly confirm that a key predictor of success in therapy is having a good connection with a therapist. Take time, however possible, to find someone you like, who seems curious and interested in your unique life challenges and hopes. You want good company for the journey of change.
