I am 52 years old, married, and have three children. I have a Master’s in Professional Counseling, am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with the state of Florida, and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I also have my Master's Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) and International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC) certifications in FL. I am currently working on Trauma Focused CBT certification training. I have worked in the field for 12 years in substance abuse, mental health crisis, and with children and families.
I value the relationship with my clients and believe that such a relationship is the beacon in the healing process. I believe that each individual is unique and has his/her own way of addressing issues. Thus, I believe in an eclectic approach in use of therapy models when working with individuals, couples, families, and/or LGBTQ+ individuals.
I believe that the client can be empowered, so they themselves can focus on what works for them, and not in a systematic approach that provides a generic procedure on working on a treatment. One's journey is not the same as another's. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
