After more than 20 years of talking with people who are struggling with their lives both individually and in relationships, I am very aware of what helps people find their way. In part it is educational, helping to give an understanding of how our minds work. Knowledge is power. It is also, in part, helping to people to discover their own voice, their sense of self and the power they have to create the kind of life they wish to lead. We all have an innate desire to be fully human. I see it as my task to help people discover their humanity.
There any number of theories on how to help people. My approach is eclectic utilizing a variety of techniques from different theories. The most central idea is my belief that we all have this strong desire to excel; to use our individual power in ways that give us a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Working with individuals, couples and families, my focus is to help everyone find a way of expressing themselves that is supportive of themselves and of others who are a part of their lives. Good communication is central to the resolution of difficulties. It is the first step in resolving differences.

Couples Parenting Group
Becoming a parent is usually a very exciting time. It can also be fraught with anxiousness. This group is designed to help couples express their hopes and wishes and fears through dialogue with each other and with guidance by the group leader. The central focus will be to learn what are our unconscious individual beliefs regarding marriage and parenthood, and how those beliefs make themselves known; sometimes to our surprise and chagrin, particularly when they run counter to what our partner believes. We will learn how to communicate those differences in a way that is supportive of each other.
