We are accepting new clients. My name is Nicole Baker, I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan and living with a variety of diagnoses and symptoms. I especially have a passion to walk with individuals with developmental and learning disabilities as they learn about and understand their symptoms, develop appropriate coping skills, and learn what it means for them to thrive in daily life. Above all I hope to create a safe place for my clients to be able to talk openly with me about whatever they need to discuss in the moment.
I believe growth in therapy begins with the relationship between the client and counselor, which I attempt to build by first creating a non-judgmental atmosphere. You are the expert on yourself and I am here to support your values and goals. I use person centered and CBT skills, but may also use forms of creative expression if that is more appropriate.
I am so excited to meet you and watch your growth! As we walk this journey together we will create goals and then develop coping strategies to achieve those goals. If we keep working at it, we can achieve almost anything you set your mind to!
