Hello! Welcome and thank you for allowing me to take part in your life's journey. I want to first acknowledge the courage that it takes to seek counseling services and coming in today as a first step. I work from an eclectic counseling viewpoint, allowing a mix of directive and non-directive techniques to best fit the need of the client. My primary theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioral theory (CBT). I align with an integrative approach that integrates aspects of reality and person-centered therapy. I find that active incorporation of a client’s strengths will encourage clients to be more fully engaged in therapy.
I have experience working with a wide variety of mental and emotional challenges including, but not limited to; ADHD, life transitions, behavioral issues, and school related issues. I practice from eclectic approach, utilizing techniques such as mindfulness, art, music, play, and other techniques that aid in growth.
Everyone creates their own story in life. I see counseling as a process in which you and I, as client and counselor, work together to understand and provide new tools for yourself and your future.
