I specialize in issues related to transitions in stages of adulthood. Whether you are navigating the responsibilities of your first job, juggling the demands of being a parent, learning to reconnect with a partner once your kids move, or you are making plans for retirement, I will work with you to effectively deal with stress related to major adjustments.
I primarily use cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches to therapy, but draw from a range of techniques to meet the needs and strengths of each client. Sessions typically involve helping clients gain insight into thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, explore alternative ways of viewing situations, and modify unhelpful behavior.
