I am a child & adult psychologist who is passionate about helping people navigate any barriers to achieving their life goals, gain self-confidence, and become their best self. As an engaging, compassionate listener, I create a comfortable environment for children, teens, and adults to share personal experiences and concerns. If you (or your child) are exhibiting anxiety, frustration, anger, or sadness, I can help with better understanding and developing new skills to work through these emotions. With children/teens, I also help parents learn to more effectively support their child, set limits, and minimize conflicts.
During treatment, I teach patients how to navigate unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors using elements of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies (DBT). My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, young adult independence, and cultural stress.
Supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds is a priority for me. For those who have experienced stresses related to their cultural backgrounds, I use a novel therapy approach that promotes empowerment, self-acceptance, and healing.
