I am well versed in PTSD, vicarious trauma, and depression through my education and personal experiences. I want to serve my community and provide you with the tools you need to grow in good mental health. I can provide the time and a safe space for you to discuss how experiences of trauma have had an impact. In therapy, you will learn coping skills to address symptoms of PTSD, vicarious trauma and develop self-care practices to help prevent future recurrences. Our office is quiet, welcoming and a safe space for you to be.
Vicarious trauma can have a significant impact on a person’s mental health. First responders, helpers and others affected by vicarious trauma may notice emotional issues, such as feelings of anxiety, anger, and/or sadness related to hearing accounts of traumatic experiences. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to ask for help. I want to help you through it.
A little about me, I was born and raised here in Oregon, joined the USCG in 1994 and had a career in local Law Enforcement from 1998 - 2009, serving the community. I began to look a different way to help people and felt called into Psychology/Social work. I have a Masters in Social Work, with a side focus on Veterans. I encourage you to reach out.
