Hi! My name is Ruth Roberts and I am licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 23 years of clinical experience. I am able to treat a variety of mental health disorders for individuals, families, and couples such as anxiety, depression, stress management, coping skills, emotional regulation, and trauma. My approach to therapy is based on the evidence-based perspective of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) such as Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
I like to find out what interests you about counseling and what you hope to gain from your experience. When taking small steps, you are able to gain confidence that you can succeed in making the changes that you desire to make when you present to therapy. The idea of counseling is that you learn the skills and tools to be your own therapist.
