Currently I have only one opening, specifically for someone interested in IFS. I will edit this profile when that changes. I especially enjoy working with individuals who have experienced "outsider status" and are on a journey to create a sense of belonging in their own way and style. Many of my patients are creatives who experience hindrances in connecting with their creative energies and seek ways to more fully nourish and honor these aspects of Self.
The stories we tell about ourselves are powerful, as are non-verbal aspects of self. Internal parts that hold these verbal and somatic stories can be triggered by reminders of the past, while also providing pathways of healing. I offer verbal and somatic processes to help decrease reactivity and increase resilience, connection, creativity, and courage.
My areas of expertise and focus are in working with people who have experienced a wide range of adversities (e.g., trauma, health issues) and people going through life transitions and creative challenges. Tai Chi for Arthritis
I teach a gentle, short form of T'ai Chi that is appropriate for anyone who seeks a style that is easy on the joints. I'm currently teaching an in-person Tai Chi for Arthritis class for adults 55+ years of age at the Juanita Pohl Center in Tualatin, OR (greater Portland area).
