Insightful and compassionate describe me as a therapist. I have over 13 years of experience as a school counselor and 10 years licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in children and adolescent issues, primarily around depression, anxiety, conflictual family issues and low self-esteem that can often lead to low motivation in school, drug use, eating disorders and other maladaptive behaviors. I believe that authenticity and attunement are crucial to healing. As a practiced and engaging counselor, I am able to effectively identify needs and enjoy building connections with youth and families.
I have worked with ages pre-school to young adult individually and with their families. Working with this vast age span over several years, has provided me with a deeper understanding of child/adolescent development, children's learning needs, and ways to effectively communicate with them.
I am known for my client-centered, easy-going, and whole-hearted approach and truly enjoy working with young people and families. My realness and warmth are naturally part of who I am. I find that Laughter is key. I am grateful for having a diverse, school-enriched background.
