I believe that every individual is unique. We all come from different backgrounds, and we all do not necessarily have the same diagnoses or issues. Therefore, a counseling approach that is effective for one individual may not be effective for another. As a result, I tend to combine multiple theoretical perspectives such as Experiential, Acceptance and Commitment, Person-centered, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. I enjoy working and helping others grow to their full potential. I want to be able to provide a safe space and trust to each individual that I work with in order to accomplish the goals that they set for themselves.
I graduated from Winthrop University in May of 2023, where I obtained my Masters of Education in Counseling and Development, with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health. Prior to that, in 2020, I obtained my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Georgia Southern University.
I have 2 and a half years of clinical experience working in various settings, where I provided counseling in both English and Spanish for individuals 6+. My experiences include anxiety, depression, grief, anger management, life transitions, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, bipolar disorder, stress management, and multicultural issues.
