My practice is dedicated to anxiety disorders with emphasis on OCD and OCD Related disorders. As such, approximately 85-90% of the clients that I am currently treating have this diagnosis. I have treated a significant amount of individuals and families who have been afflicted with the aforementioned challenges. This includes in an office setting, out in the community, and in the homes of the client. I'm up-to-date on the latest treatments. I treat clients on the Autism Spectrum, in all capacities (anxiety related and otherwise.) I also provide clinical supervision to other therapists on how to effectively treat their own clients.
My specialties include all anxiety disorders. Under the tutelage of Dr. Patrick McGrath, world renowned anxiety expert and author, I was trained via the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF.) I use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ERP Therapy (Exposure and Response Prevention,) which are considered first line treatment for all anxiety disorders.
The most important part of therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. I always strive to establish this bond as quickly as possible. As such, we usually begin to work on the client's anxiety, in a hierarchal format, towards the end of the first session. I also make myself available, in between sessions, if needed.
