We all fall somewhere between where we want to be and the worst that we have been. Many times, in life we are just not happy with where we are at our present moment, and even though we may not be at our worst we still know things could be better. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment to help create comfort when discussing uncomfortable topics. I encourage my clients to allow time for the therapeutic process and find a healthy balance.
I incorporate a variety of tools to assist in the best therapeutic process: mindfulness, guided imagery, art therapy are a few techniques that clients have found quite helpful. Although I feel it's my job to sometimes challenge clients, I also understand that even making the decision to seek help is a challenge within itself.
