As a clinical psychologist in practice for 20+ years, I am interested in the journey of life - who you are and want to be, what you've done and hope to do, and where you've been and want to go. Threshold moments when we move from one phase of life into another and key decisions have to be made (e.g., entering/exiting school, a job, or a relationship) can bring self-doubt, confusion, anxiety and depression. Everything feels important and nothing makes sense. When a fork in the road or a roadblock makes you loose your way or your dreams, therapy can help restore hope and find a new path to follow.
When you are lost or stuck, having a fellow traveler and guide who listens, cares and is on your side is important. I will partner with you to know your story and understand your thoughts and feelings in a deeper way - who you are, how you think, and why you do what you do. Together we will draw a new roadmap for becoming who you want and are meant to be.
I've done many different things in my life and will bring all of them to meet you where you are, help you heal, learn how to play, regain hope and find joy and meaning. The tools in my toolbox include training in clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, theology, and medical research. I am committed to finding a way to reach you and get you on your way.
