I believe that for therapy to be successful there must be a strong therapeutic relationship, one where trust and safety are established, and I understand that it can take some time to build that type of relationship. I provide each client with a warm, nonjudgmental environment where trust and safety are more likely to occur. I believe that we do our best healing when we are ready for it and have the desire to change whatever is no longer serving us. I also believe that we must laugh at ourselves at times, if not often, and I see humor as an important part of therapy and life.
I work with adults, teens, and children and utilize CBT, art therapy, somatics, humor, yoga, and mindfulness. Through these modalities I help people gain a deeper understanding of not only themselves, but oftentimes deep-rooted unconscious patterns that create distress in our lives.
I will simply meet the client where they are at. I enjoy helping people love themselves a little more and encourage clients that we are enough, as we often feel that we are not. Life is short, let's do our best to enjoy as much of it as possible!
