I believe that in a good psychotherapy a patient feels known and accepted, and will find relief and lasting change from insights and cumulative, affirming choices. My goal with a patient is to form a helpful and transformative therapeutic relationship. You may feel something important is missing in your life, or there may be something specific with which you are struggling. I work with teens and adults of all ages, as well as couples. I hope to assist you to gain a clearer sense of your needs as well as the confidence to sit with uncertainty and important feelings, and such satisfaction as has been elusive.
I specialize in helping people with mood and trauma-related difficulties, work and life transitions, issues around identity and loss, as well as relationship stresses. My approach is eclectic, supporting patients' insight and understanding of the roots of their distress. I received trained at Harvard-teaching hospitals and U.S./European universities.
