I believe we all have the right to be heard and loved, to be listened to, and to have our therapist be fully present and helpful. I have great interest in working with couples and families who are wanting to improve their relationships as well as individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, difficult life experiences. Having worked with Middle Eastern refugees and immigrants who face many cultural challenges in their voyage to a new and strange country has helped me to hone my skills in this relational context. I look forward to working with you!
I also am firm in my belief that sometimes it is helpful for individuals to seek intermittent sessions with a therapist simply for the purpose of mental wellness, much as we see a doctor or dentist on a regular basis in order to maintain our good health. In addition to being an associate therapist, I am an adjunct professor of psychology.
I have found that my journeys with my clients and my students result in a learning experience to all involved. Being firmly rooted in Narrative practices further reinforces the learnings that are a result of the therapeutic process.
