I have been working with children and adolescents and their families for over 42 years. Therapy includes sessions with child and consultations with parents. When appropriate and with the parents' permission, consultations with teachers and other school personnel are conducted. I will speak with any person that impacts your child's life. Ultimately, the goal of therapy is to create conditions in your child's life that will lead to their growth and development. Recently, I have had success with young children experiencing anxiety due to sensory integration over-load and separation anxiety.
I have a great deal of experience and success with children with special needs and various forms of over-sensittivities: Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Hypersensitivity, unusual forms of anxiety. I have taught children with Asperger's Syndrome how to socialize and interact with others in ways that promote mutual respect and cultivate friendships.
I am a Clinical Trauma Professional with a deep understanding of trauma, post traumatic and accumulated stress injury. I conduct evaluations, provide psycho-education and treatment. HELP IS PROVIDED TO CLIENTS OF ALL AGES. I conduct power point presentations on Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress & Accumulated Stress Injury for colleges, mental health agencies.
