If you suffer with states of depression, anxiety, or loneliness, or you feel generally dissatisfied with aspects of your life, through our work together we can explore skills and tools that move you toward growth.I am trained in EMDR.
I am a clinical therapist, and earned my Master in Social Work degree from New York University. . I have dedicated most of my time as a therapist working with substance misuse, sexual issues , relationship, trauma and LGBTQIA issues. I am BIPOC, I understand immigration issues and I also speak Portuguese. I am trained in Somatic Experience and IFS
I understand how shame affects many of us and its correlation to issues such as addiction and difficulties with intimacy. When working with LGBTQIA clients I recognize the importance of using a sex positive and non-shaming approach. I strive to help clients to connect with authenticity and freedom from unhealthy coping behaviors.
