With over 20 years experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I offer a variety of effective counseling approaches to address symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, Autism, Relationship Issues, and ADHD. Some of these approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Executive Functioning Skills, and Mindfulness. Together, we will determine what treatment approaches work best and strive to meet your goals, such as improving coping skills, overcoming fears, and regulating emotions. While working as a Special Ed Teacher, Local Screening Chair, and Counselor in schools, I have helped students and families navigate the IEP/504 process to be successful. Building essential tools within sessions can develop self-esteem, social skills, and self-advocacy. In time, your child can gain confidence, create friendships, and achieve academic goals.
As a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, I help clients regulate the physical symptoms of anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and ADHD. Clients learn to identify physical triggers and release stress. The mind-body connection is essential to healing. DMT promotes this connection by integrating the physical, emotional, and cognitive aspects of ourselves.
