Rather than sitting in an office, my sessions are most often outside with the inclusion of horses, mini donkeys, and mini goats. Engaging while outdoors provides opportunity for experiential growth and engaging in healing while using the sights, sounds, and yes scents of nature to help ground and center during session. Sessions often include working on healing from trauma, managing and decreasing a variety of symptoms like, depression, anxiety, frustration tolerance, relationship conflict, and attentional challenges.
I am CEIP-MA certified, an AAMFT approved supervisor and have training in EMDR, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I have trained and worked in the EAGALA model so i am able to draw upon a number of different models and ideas to support you in your healing.
Therapy is hard work and building trust and connection is key to having your needs met and reaching your goals. I know that the relationship that I build with you is the most important part of therapy. Having horses and the rest of the herd to help build those relationships is an added bonus!
