I completed PCIT training through Duke University's PCIT of the Carolinas program in 2010. I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) by PCIT International. PCIT is an evidenced based treatment for children between the ages of 2-7 and their families. During PCIT, I work with parents and their children together to help improve the parent-child relationship, increasing attachment, warmth and nurturing between parents and their children. I also provide ABC, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, an evidence based treatment for infants ages 6-24 months. I am certified in PCIT -T for toddlers ages 12-36 months.
During PCIT I provide parents with supportive, live in the moment coaching so that parents are consistently reinforcing their child's positive and prosocial behaviors.
