With over 25 years of experience in this field, I am unique and eclectic in my approach. I particularly enjoy working with clients who have been seen as "difficult" by others or who have been dissatisfied with counseling in the past. I recognize the hard work that goes into bringing about change, but still feel the overall experience in counseling should be enjoyable. Interests include child/adolescent issues, particularly with teens and preteens utilizing structural family therapy. Adults with anxiety &/or anger. Individuals feeling empty or without direction/meaning. Treatment resistant Obsessive Compulsive symptoms. Unique approaches to ADHD. Lastly, I am committed to treating Depression in all ages but particularly with the elderly.
Client's should feel comfortable with their counselor. Finding one may require experimentation. Ultimately, I'm not "right" for everyone but hope clients don't become disenchanted with their search.
