Sorry everyone, I do not accept Medicaid, waiting for months to get reimbursed 20% less is not. Since Nov 2003, facilitate groups, mental health individual psychotherapy sessions - CBT, relaxation meditation, person-centered therapy to mainstream & Latino clients. In 2021, completed training on trauma reduction i.e. EMDR, provide in Eng/Spanish. As an American of Peruvian descent, I recreate with you an environment conducive to growth, explore triggers, gain insight. I value serving a community through active listening, decipher a treatment goal most relevant, beneficial to you. Your voice, and views are crucial.
My specialty consists of cognitive behavior therapy, DBT, etc. I value active listening, identify your stressors, triggers i.e. motivational interviewing - evaluate your current outlook, beliefs. For relaxation meditation, I use guided imagery, identify safe, calm place. You have ample time to share your narrative, decipher your most crucial goals.
Having lived 8 years in a third world country in Peru, South America (1974-1982) separates me from most other licensed therapists. I have an intangible for understanding both mainstream American & Latino perspective. I am here for you. I study your narrative and incorporate sound evidenced based practice, viable goals, role play communication.
