The decision to seek out therapy can be daunting. It often means admitting to ourselves that there may be something wrong, and that can be scary. It takes a LOT of courage to seek help. I am board certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by the American Board of Professional Psychology. This is the most rigorous certification available, with only 4% of psychologists achieving it. I am one of only four psychologists in Central Florida with this certification, and the only one in private practice.
I am also a military psychologist, an OIF veteran, and a professor of psychology at UCF where I conduct research on mental health issues and train future therapists how to conduct therapy. I specialize in applying CBT to relationship issues (families and couples), anxiety, panic, trauma, and depression.
