Wherever you are right now, therapy needs to “meet you there.” The most important aspect of working together, is that everything flows from your uniqueness as an individual. I believe the therapeutic process works best as a collaboration between client and therapist.
I work with trauma, whether it’s “big or small T.” Patterns of trauma response, acquired in the present or past, can shape our day-to-day behavior, even without our knowing. I’m certified in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Some additional pathways include: Emotion Focused, Art and Play, Narrative, and TFT.
I welcome clients of all ethnicities, cultures, spiritual beliefs, gender identities and relational preferences. Emotional safety is very important in my work & respect for every client is safe-guarded. I also work hard to check-in on my unconscious bias and privilege.
