I serve as a companion to my clients while they sort out issues in their lives. I view my clients from an empathetic nonjudgmental perspective and focus on helping them recognize their strengths while reducing their negative distortions about themselves. I treat clients who have low self-esteem, past trauma and losses, a history of anxiety, and long-term depression. I also specialize in working with couples needing to address marital issues. My clients experience being deeply respected and being able to talk comfortably and with trust. As a team, my clients and I create transformative change in their lives.
My approach, depending on the individual client's needs, may include: psychodynamic psychotherapy, interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, supportive or solution-focused techniques. With couples, I use methods that bring down the wall of anger, increase awareness to family of origin dynamics, and help couples to communicate in ways that bring them closer.
I have a long record of success. With my refined skills of perception, I can often provide my clients with insight into the heart of their challenges after only a short amount of time.
