Rick became a trained and certified therapeutic foster (TFC/HCTC) parent in 2009. Rick is also a certified special education teacher working in the private sector. During this journey, Rick has experience working with children with ADHD, ADD, RAD, ODD, Autism (ASD), anxiety, depression, mood disorder, mild and severe intellectual disabilities, vision/hearing impaired, trauma, learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, and TBI.
Helping others realize that they matter is a journey worth achieving. By utilizing the skills of psychotherapy, Rick can help others sort through their life challenges, develop, and strengthen self-confidence, and increase skillset that others can independently apply to future situations.
Rick still fosters children who need additional love, attention, and consistency. When not work with his school family, Rick enjoys spending time with his children and extended family and friends. Traveling to new places and seeing new things is a favorite hobby. Being a lifelong learner, Rick enjoys school and l studying about his craft.
