As a psychologist committed to strength-based approaches, I help clients see and utilize their existing knowledge and skills to create better lives. My work with clients both supports and challenges them, affirming who they are, what they believe, and how they think they can change. I take an approach that focuses much more on possibility than pathology, and as such I help clients find creative ways to approach problems and develop personal stories that fulfill them. I consider it an honor to do the work I do, and I strive to not only respect, but enhance, clients' dignity.
Creating professional relationships with clients founded in respect, caring, and a desire for positive outcomes, I utilize a wide range of techniques and theories to help clients reach their goals. I work with clients' natural ways of growing, and help them understand and improve how they think, feel, and act.
When clients work with me they find strength within themselves to develop into who they want to be. I believe expertise on issues is co-created with clients, and in therapy I strive for people to experience a wide range of feelings and thoughts, from sadness and longing to laughter and joy, so that they can lead their most fulfilling lives in the world.
