If you are finding it hard to deal with the stressful circumstances of life and experiencing anxiety, depression, or other difficulties which affect your daily activities there are coping skills which can help. Oftentimes, people find it helpful to just have someone to talk about their problems without judgment, working together to find a way forward. Brief therapeutic techniques can help get a fresh outlook and empower the individual to make effective choices. Sometimes the problems may suggest gaining insight into patterns which continue to undermine satisfying and fulfilling living.
I try to work collaboratively with individuals to identify their problems, establish their goals, and develop strategies to obtain them. For this, I employ a variety of short term therapeutic approaches. I also offer a more psychoanalytic approach, bringing to light unconscious patterns embedded in personal history, freeing individuals from the past.
I believe the best therapy occurs when the individual is helped to discover within themselves the resources for effective living. I provide a safe place for this to happen, and am ready to listen and facilitate that process.
