Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a focus on Counseling, a Master of Science in Psychology with a focus on Child Development from Southern New Hampshire University, and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Melissa’s work experience includes working with children and families to address mental health and safety needs for increased stabilization, in addition to working with adults to build independent living skills and mental health symptom management.

it is important to pay close attention to early intervention, it is during this crucial period that strides made during recovery are reinforced. There are many different kinds of early intervention treatment options which can help prevent relapse and expand upon existing coping strategies. Making the decision to go to treatment is complicated. I help people in recovery change how they see themselves as they work to improve their self-image and increase their self-esteem. They must be open to cope with their thoughts, feelings, and motivations that will reveal themselves as they face the causes of their issues.

He provides treatment for Depression, anger, anxiety, adjustment issues of all types, stress management, college mental health, sports performance and substance abuse. He enjoys helping client's work through past and current stressors. Ken uses evidence-based practice that entails a clinical assessment so that the client and therapist both understand the current issues and then choose the best course of treatment needed.

I look to help those who feel overwhelmed with aspects of their life. I enjoy helping guide my clients through a lot of introspection and asking questions of my clients. I see my role as a therapist to, not provide solutions, but to help my clients come to their own solutions. I enjoy working with clients who are going through life changes (whether that is a death, moving, breakup, coming out, etc...). I enjoy in creating safe spaces for my clients to discuss any topic they wish.
