As a young girl, I used to frequently witness my mother experience “ataque de nervios” which translates to “attack of the nerves”. Kevin Keoghan is a lifelong Rhode Islander, born and raised in Warwick. Kevin attended the University of Rhode Island where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After spending time in the business world and finding recovery himself, Kevin made a career change into the field of addiction recovery in order to help others. Kevin became a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist with Anchor Recovery Community Center where he worked at the center as a recovery coach, on the mobile outreach team in the community, as well as being a responder to Providence’s Safe Stations program.

I am licensed independent clinical social worker and an addictions specialist. I have been working within the addiction field for about fifteen years. Our interpersonal connections are the foundations for how we grow and develop. The therapeutic relationship is often a critical relationship for us to have a safe and supportive atmosphere to work on our deeper issues.
