As a therapist who has over 15 years of experience working with pre-teens, teens and adults, my goal of treatment is to assist others in learning healthy strategies and tools to improve positive mood and functioning and/or resolve conflict/crisis. My focus is to target your concerns in a safe, non-judgemental environment. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently working at Arrow Behavioral Health in Warwick, Rhode Island. I accept both in person and online appointments. I work with teen and adult clients ages 16+. In my practice, I provide an empathic and judgment free space that allows you to be your most authentic self. Through the use of humor and my own authenticity I can guide you through processing trauma, identifying inner strengths and fostering resilience. Kaylee is a licensed mental health counselor and registered dance/movement therapist with 10 years of experience working in the mental health field through college practicums, internships, and professional employment. Kaylee has experience working with several populations including: adults with dementia in nursing facilities, neurodivergent children in early learning centers, and adolescents and adults in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities. Kaylee’s approach is best described as “eclectic, somatic, and person-centered” as she believes that therapy should not be a “one size fits all” experience.

Like water under pressure, emotions always find a way out. They can manifest in a variety of life challenges and symptoms. I believe that everyone has the ability and power to heal themselves and I see myself like a flashlight you may sometimes need to pick up when you become overwhelmed by the darkness of your own struggles. I have a deep appreciation for and belief in the support and growth that comes from human connection. Counseling is a way to connect with someone to take a look at your struggles, values and goals and dive into them without judgement and with support.

Dr. Parent received his Ph.D. in Clinical and Developmental Psychology at the University of Vermont and completed his clinical psychology internship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is a child clinical psychologist, an Assistant Professor at the University of Rhode Island, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University.
