Chris is a nationally recognized speaker, trainer and clinical consultant in the areas of addiction, trauma, and men’s health, as well as, having worked as a clinician and clinical supervisor in various levels of care in addiction treatment continuum. A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC), and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Clinical Supervisor (LCDCS), Chris graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW).

With a B.A. in Psychology from UMASS Boston, Rachel understands human behavior and emotional well-being. She builds a trusting therapeutic relationship, allowing clients to explore their struggles in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Her warm and empathetic approach fosters openness and validation. At Emory Recovery Center, Rachel focuses on substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. She takes a holistic approach, addressing underlying emotional challenges and addictive behaviors. Rachel utilizes evidence-based practices like CBT, motivational interviewing, and DBT, tailoring treatment to individual needs.

I am a Licensed Child and Family Behavioral Therapist and received my Master's from New England College. I have been working with children, couples and families for over 18 years. I have spent the past 16 years using Behavioral Play Therapy with Preschool children, as well as with families utilizing a variety of treatment modalities which include Family Systems and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Issues I have years of experience treating both ADHD and ODD in young children. Emily Sheehan has worked in the field of substance use disorder for over 3 years. She is a certified Recovery Coach and passionate about helping others find recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. Emily is well versed in all aspects of the recovery care continuum. She is on the frontline in serving Emory Recovery patients through individual evaluations, treatment planning, crisis intervention and case management services.

I have experience counseling and possess a knowledge base consisting of many different theoretical orientations and approaches to practice, including but not limited to art and play therapy, trauma specific treatment, CBT/DBT, tapas acupuncture and tapping techniques. As a social worker, I am familiar with systems theory and various aspects involved in assessment, intervention and evaluation practices.

My 25 plus years of experience has been working with children, youth and their families who have a history of trauma/abuse and neglect and struggle with relationships. I have experience in public child welfare, working with RI Family Court, RI Superior Court and various other state and community service agencies. I have worked with victims of violence as well as offenders. My work focuses around helping parents, young adults and children who have struggled with their behavioral health; depression, substance use disorders, anger management, communication, relationship issues and school functioning.
