People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons, yet a common thread unites this motivation: the desire to understand one's experience. Sometimes life can be a struggle: identity, relationships, environments and situations can stress our resources and lead us to lean on familiar ways of being, even when those ways do not feel useful or helpful anymore. Therapy presents an opportunity to be curious, to foster new depths of understanding, and to develop a greater sense of meaning. It also provides a space to explore ways of relating to yourself, others in your life, and the world.
As a psychodynamic therapist with extensive training in existential philosophy, I will work with you to establish a relationship that creates space in your life for movement and growth. I work with individual adults and couples. I have experience and skill working with complex trauma and people who identify as queer/LGBTQ+.
My therapeutic style is collaborative and dynamic. I believe it is of primary importance to honor my client’s wisdom and agency while providing a supportive and grounded space to explore the challenges that have brought you to therapy.
