Welcome! I specialize in evidence-based treatments for children, adolescents, and adults with emotional and behavioral challenges, including depression, anxiety, and life stress. I have expertise in working with clients with diverse and intersecting identities and tailor treatment to fit each individual's unique background and needs. My therapy approach is collaborative, warm, and genuine. I join with clients as they clarify values, set goals, redefine boundaries, and try new things, recognizing the vulnerability and courage it takes to grow.
I draw from treatments proven effective through research studies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other mindfulness-based approaches. I have experience in hospitals, community clinics, and schools, in addition to my practice. I work with all ages and integrate family when indicated.
I believe (and the science tells us!) that effective therapy begins with a trusting and genuine client-therapist relationship. In service of building a strong foundation and helping clients feel understood and comfortable, I bring compassion, respect, and humor to my sessions. I look forward to meeting you and learning how I can support you and your family.
