Do you consider yourself a people pleaser? Is it hard to prioritize yourself without feeling guilty? Do you struggle to say no or tell people how you really feel? Are you trying to heal from emotional wounds from a loved one? Many of my clients say they feel stuck in a difficult relationship with their parent, spouse, or other loved one. They feel the stress, frustration, and resentment building but they "don't like confrontation" so they become exhausted and have little hope that things can change. They suffer from low self-esteem, overwhelm, and indecisiveness.

Through mindful conversation and a strong belief in the importance of a compassionate relationship with oneself, I support client change by offering encouragement and fresh perspectives to patterned thinking and decision-making.
If you are reading this, then some part of you is ready. Perhaps ready to move on, to understand more or to do things differently. Our problems, when given our attention, often become gateways for needed change. Trust yourself and start talking. Therapy is something you do when you care about yourself and your life. Although current evidence-based treatments are the foundation of my work I value a mind-body connection and offer a holistic and integrative approach to therapy.

I have worked for several years with individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents on many different presenting issues. I work collaboratively with people to identify strengths within themselves to address their life challenges. I work with many parents regarding parenting concerns, balancing marriage and kids, and trying to find themselves again after having children. I work with couples to re-start their relationship after many years of unspoken distance. My practice is broad-based; I have experience with a range of issues such as marital strife, blended families, substance abuse, mental illness, depression, grief, anxiety, sexual abuse, and loss.

I believe the relationship between the therapist and client is critical to therapeutic success.
Hello, I'm Brad Branham. I enjoy working with anyone who is motivated towards instituting change, improving their mood, situation, or life in the goals they choose. As a marriage and family therapist, I love working with couples and families. However, a significant amount of my nearly fourteen years of clinical experience has been working children, adolescents, and teenagers. I also enjoy working with those who are oppositional, anxious, depressed, have experienced trauma, are seeking parenting skills, or are looking for emotional management and coping strategies.

Whether you're feeling stuck in relationship dynamics or seeking to heal the pain of individual wounds, it would be my privilege to help you better yourself and your relationships.
Oftentimes we find ourselves stuck in patterns and cycles that we struggle to get out of, let alone have hope for to change. These patterns might be a well-rehearsed dance with another person or even a full cast of characters, or simply of our own internal world that ripples outward into our life. Through increased awareness of the dynamic between things within self and dynamics within relationships, we can disengage from the ineffective and instead move intentionally toward a more functional, fulfilling way of being.

My focus in therapy is to build a trusting relationship which inspires self-discovery and a greater capacity for change. I tend to use a relational style with curiosity, humor, and compassion to support people in understanding and coping with mental health symptoms, learning better communication skills in relationships, and exploring identity development and life transitions. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples, and particularly enjoy working with those seeking support for anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, and identity development, including LGBTQ+ identities, as a queer person myself.

Many times the relationship needs a tune-up quarterly, every 6 months or at minimum one time a year.
Are you having a lot of problems in your relationships (friends, family, a partner or spouse)? Do you feel misunderstood? Are you experiencing a lot of stress, anxiety, depression and/or worry due to work, being a single parent, divorce, marriage, committed relationship, racial issues, masculinity and/or self worth? Are you parenting alone and need some emotional support; need marital maintenance. Are you questioning things in life and need to make some decisions. Asking for support is a brave step. I am the Author of "Ruptured Attachment" and am passionate about helping individuals, couples and families heal from the inside out.

My style is authentic and real, and I bring my full self to the counseling relationship.
Considering therapy can stir up the question, "Is healing even possible for me?" My answer is, "Yes, it is!" I've found that when issues come to the surface and disrupt our lives, they are ready for healing! Our issues often began as coping mechanisms to deal with difficult life experiences. These “solutions” then take on a life of their own and keep us stuck in negative patterns. I help my clients find where their problems got stuck, release them, and experience healing and freedom. I also believe that experiencing positive emotions (like joy, hope, and laughter) is an integral part of healing, and these are part of my sessions.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues but welcome other concerns as well.
Beginning therapy can seem very scary and overwhelming, especially when it comes to finding the right therapist. My goal as a therapist is to provide a warm and trusting environment that helps you feel as comfortable as possible. What I value most about therapy is its ability to help us move through the obstacles and barriers life throws at us. As we overcome these challenges we also look at the goals you want to achieve and make movement towards those achievements through the healing process.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
