Your relationship with family, friends, and, of course, yourself is of the most importance. I believe there is no good reason for you to be alone with grief, insecurity, low self-esteem, shame, loneliness, fear, worry, and anxiety. Reaching-out for help could be the most courageous gift you could give yourself. I would be honored to help you through these struggles. I would like to give you the very best individual psychotherapy or couples counseling. I do not offer a "band aid" approach to therapy, meaning, the process to feeling better is one that requires a confidential, authentic, and meaningful relationship with me.

There is always hope, no matter the situation you may find yourself in. Whether it's a difficult relationship, repetitive negative thoughts, teen issues, or feelings of depression leading you to dark places. Situations change when we learn new skills, understand how the past influences the present, or when we have a safe place to explore options.

As a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, I work with couples who have become disconnected in their relationship.
I've worked in the mental health field since 1980. I look at therapy as a collaborative enterprise between client and therapist, with the aim of improving quality of life. I value a gentle, accepting way of looking at life problems, with an emphasis on understanding, rather than judging or condemning, oneself and others. I value curiosity as a valuable asset in the therapeutic process and I enjoy working with clients who can be curious about themselves and their lives. I work with the client to identify new skills, behaviors, or attitudes that can facilitate desired changes.

She enjoys incorporating music, art, and other creative methods of expression in the process of building a strong therapeutic relationship.
Sometimes during your journey in life, or in the journeys of persons close to us, we get lost. Ideally, there is a book nearby when lost that tells us specifically how to solve life's challenges. If such a book exists, I've not encountered one. During such times, the practice of psychotherapy is often the "book" and answers we seek. Lilly is a licensed clinical professional counselor who provides therapy for adolescents, adults and families. Her caring and energetic approach involves collaboration with clients and if applicable, families. She integrates all aspects of a person to best help.

I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is integral to a successful therapy experience.
For many people, persistent and unresolved mental health issues lead to a downward spiral of marital strife, parenting difficulties, legal problems, stress, anxiety and depression. These issues can negatively impact their quality of life.

From the beginning of therapy, we will work together to develop a relationship that feels authentic and safe so that your concerns, emotional wounds, and disappointments as well as joys, pleasures, and needs can be meaningfully explored.
I specialize in helping men connect to themselves and others with strength, courage, and authenticity. Are you feeling depressed, anxious, or just that life is not all you had hoped? Are your relationships unfulfilling? Having difficulty letting go of past hurts? Using sex, the internet, work, or social media to avoid others or painful emotions? Does it seem impossible to "get through" to your spouse? Retirement not going well? Has the pandemic knocked you off your game? It’s time for a change. “You, he said, are a terribly real thing in a terribly false world, and that, I believe, is why you’re in so much pain" (Autumn).

I specialize in working with individuals struggling with life transitions, relationship struggles, marriage counseling, anxiety related symptoms, and boundary setting issues.
Our greatest ability to change comes from stepping outside of our comfort zone. My goal is to tell you the truth. This is not always what you want to hear! There is great humility in being able to look at yourself in the mirror and face the things you don’t like about yourself; behaviors you participate in that you wish you wouldn’t and cycles you wish to break. Change is hard but so worth it! I challenge you to come on this journey with me in changing what you do, how you feel and how you think about yourself and your life.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
