My approach to therapy is compassionate, respectful, curious, and relational; emphasizing the importance of establishing trust and safety within a relationship in order to heal and grow.
Are you an adult, young adult, or teen struggling with low self-worth, anxiety, indecisiveness, or just feeling disconnected from the things that you used to find meaningful? Furthermore, are you longing for support from others but aren’t really sure what you need or how to even ask for it? If any of these things resonate with you, I’d like to help. Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when you are faced with challenges and pressure in multiple areas of life. Whether these challenges are with work, school, home, family, relationships, or how to cope more effectively; we will create a space for hope, insight, and relief.

I want to meet you where you are right now and support you in moving towards a more intimate relationship with each part of yourself.
In a culture that equates your productivity to your self-worth, it can be a challenge to feel comfortable and guilt-free when you choose to take care of yourself. I reject the cultural beliefs that shame us and try to force us to endure, rather than enjoy. Seeking help is a show of strength, there is no shame in it, and you shouldn’t have to “tough it out” on your own or “just get by”. Whatever it is about your relationships, connections, or experiences with intimacy that brought you here deserves attention. I’m interested in helping you feel more like yourself, more alive, and more at ease in the world.

Often, we seek therapy when we feel overwhelmed—by anxiety, depression, a life transition or a difficult relationship. Having studied and treated maladaptive thoughts and behaviors, I work to create a confidential space where you can regain your balance, gain insight, and ultimately become more confident and secure. I utilize a thoughtful mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, solution-focused techniques, and EMDR Therapy (specialized trauma therapy) to pave way for your healing.

Sometimes things like fear, resistance, or self-defeating relationship patterns get in the way - but with the help of a caring and competent professional, we can learn to think and feel differently and to make new choices.
What experience would you like to be having? What about your current circumstances do you want to change? My primary expertise is in helping people to not only overcome the thoughts and feelings that are holding them back, but to create the life that they want for themselves. I believe that we all possess the ability to remove internal barriers and to live life on our terms.

I welcome both monogamous and nontraditional relationship structures, discussing topics such as jealousy, respect, personal values, and self-advocacy.
Do you find it difficult to talk about sex and intimacy? Even with (or especially with) the people you are intimate with? Lots of people share this struggle! If you are dealing with intimacy issues, lack of desire, painful sex (vaginismus, vulvodynia), or sexual confidence, you are not alone. I’m passionate about working with couples and individuals as they explore the barriers that are holding them back in their relationships, to help them move beyond their mental blocks and behavioral patterns - in the areas of sexual dysfunction, emotions, communication, and authentic self-expression.

The dynamic relationship between me and my clients encourages expansiveness offers a sense of support during the process of personal transition.
Being in the world can often feel like a challenge. I work with individuals and couples who want to improve their relationships by gaining a greater sense understanding. I work with clients to develop their self knowledge and self worth so they can embrace their hopes and accept feelings of disappointment. The ability to self-reflect helps in moving toward a more satisfying future with a greater sense of compassion and tolerance for yourself and a greater openness toward others. The goal of the work is the creation of an emotionally safe home where acceptance and recognition can foster personal emotional growth and healing.

I specialize in providing LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy with teens, adults, and relationship partners who are exploring their sexuality, gender, and relationship-expansive (kink, poly, ENM) identities.
There are infinite reasons we seek therapy. You may find yourself disconnected from your relationships and exhausted by not feeling understood. You may feel pressure to be a perfect person, partner and parent, or struggling to name your feelings or needs in your relationships. I strive to co-create an attuned, safe space and our collaboration will center around your hopes, goals, and intersectional identities. When we allow the unfolding of emotional experiences, it can lead us to the emergence of a deeper understanding of yourself, self-acceptance, and connecting to the power and participation you have in relationships.

Much like any other relationship in life, a therapist-client relationship requires some chemistry and a "good fit".
One piece of feedback that I constantly get from my clients is that they appreciate my ability to quickly build rapport and how they're challenged by me in sessions. I believe that in order to grow, we have to want to face what makes us most uncomfortable. I think someone who is seeking a more action-oriented and direct therapist would fit well in my practice. I like to work towards solutions and I want you (the client) to feel like you're progressing as a person in the course of your treatment. My ultimate goal is to get you better and out of my office back to your life....that's when I know I've done a good job.

Imagine a world where you like who you truly are at the core. A world where you no longer worry about the judgement of others. This is that door. I invite you to walk though it together. When you're tired of being tired and have tried other options that seem to come back to the same end, this is the beginning of something different. This is the chance to move through your fear of abandonment and rejection, and the chance to begin to lead your authentic life. My intention is to walk with you on the journey of knowing yourself. I strongly believe in open curiosity paired with synergy which is a bedrock to a trust-based relationship.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
