With over 20 years of experience in the helping profession, I have worked with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Building a strong rapport and engaging with clients are fundamental aspects of establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment as we work together to identify and achieve your therapeutic goals.
My approach incorporates strength-based and cognitive behavioral techniques to address depression, substance use, and trauma-related issues. Together, we will explore and implement new ways of thinking and behaving. Utilizing motivational interviewing, we will assess your current stage in the change process and identify healthy coping strategies.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Texas Southern University, obtained in 1996, followed by a Master's degree to further my commitment to assisting and connecting with people from all walks of life. My priority is to establish a therapeutic relationship that drives results and helps you reach your goals.
