Transcend Counseling and Wellness is pleased to introduce Regina McManigell, our new therapist specializing in therapies that use expressive arts and poetry. When adults, adolescents, or children struggle with developmental and behavioral challenges because of mental health issues or trauma, they and family members can be at a loss for what to do. Regina enjoys guiding adults, adolescents, and children in developing resilience and healing mind, body and spirit. In addition to more traditional "talking" therapies, she is also trained to employ therapeutic drawing, painting, drama, poetry, and story-telling.
In CBT, we find new patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors to be healthier and more satisfied with life. With expressive arts, we create new understandings of our challenges, and growth potential. Through mindfulness, we integrate mind, body, and spirit, orienting us to the present moment and setting aside distress of the future or the past.
Our contracted providers are independent therapists who use our offices for the convenience of the clients we serve. Each offers a unique set of skills to be able to help even more clients. Our owner, David Phelan, MC, LPC provides supervision to, and works closely with, these providers to ensure excellent quality of care for our clients.
