My ideal client has a desire to reach their potential. My practice is grounded on a values and strengths based approach to therapy. As a woman of color, cultural sensitivity remains an important aspect of my practice. I have a history of treating individuals from various racial and ethnic backgrounds. A few conditions I have treated include: changing unwanted and harmful behaviors, reducing anxiety, building self- awareness through conflict management or protecting sobriety through harm reduction or pros and cons reflections.
I have a blended education in social work, psychology and criminal justice and I am a crime victim advocate based therapist. I work with survivors of crime in a therapeutic setting, while also offering resources to navigate the criminal justice system. I can provide tools and insight for reducing anxiety & depression while increasing self-empowerment.
Reaching out for help can be exciting, daunting and overwhelming; but the good news is that you took the first step in visiting my website. So take a deep breath in, trusting the process and energy that brought you here to this very moment; and take a deep breath out, knowing that you are capable. Let's Reframe Fortitude.
