I work with adults, teens, couples, and families who are struggling in their own lives or in their relationships (with children, partners, themselves) in an empathic, non-judgmental, directive and engaged manner. I can help you identify where you are stuck and give you the opportunity to practice trying things a different way in order to feel better. I am experienced in working with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, family/relationship conflict and life transitions. I obtain regular feedback from my clients to ensure we stay focused on client-defined treatment goals.
I am skilled at helping people who want more from the relationship(s) in their lives and who are open to learning new ways to communicate and relate with others. Using a combination of approaches, including CBT and relationship dynamics in the room, I help clients develop successful ways to get unstuck, feel better and have deeper connections with loved ones
I focus on my clients' strengths and use that to guide my work. Using a collaborative approach, I establish a comfortable, honest and caring relationship with my clients and also bring in a sense of humor and playfulness, when appropriate. I am particularly adept at engaging teenagers in therapy.
