Hello! My name is Rebecca Woods. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serving clients in North Carolina. I have been practicing for 20 years. I have experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults. Seeking therapy can bring up a multitude of emotions. It can be scary! It can be exciting! I enjoy working with clients to increase understanding of how the therapeutic experience can be helpful and improve daily daily functioning.
Within our first session, I will ask questions to get to know why you are seeking therapy. I will also ask questions to understand your experiences and your history. With this understanding, I will collaborate with you to create goals and a plan to help you accomplish your goals.
My approach as a therapist is truly a collaborative one. While I will provide treatment strategies, and facilitate practices, I will work with you to help you understand yourself. I will help you process challenges and will provide choice on strategies to assist you with processing and resolving challenges.
