I am a Couples Therapist, Step Family Certified Therapist, and Trauma Specialist. My specialties include couples therapy, trauma, and step and blended family counseling. My work with blended and step families is based on the Step Family Foundation's training which has an 84% success rate as compared to a 33% success rate of marriage counselors.
The work is structured and typically lasts for 5-10 sessions. This work is unique in that while it honors feelings, there is less exploration of feelings than typical psychotherapy and more focus on solution focused actions to better and strengthen a couple. I provide tools, language and skills to succeed.
