I work with school-aged children, teens, and young adults ( if willing to meet during the school day). My early experience was in victim advocacy and working with survivors of sexual assault, and providing foundational support and healing from trauma continues to be a cornerstone of my clinical practice. After several years in community mental health and crisis counseling, I have a private practice with a focus on working with kids and teens struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, gender transitions or other LGBTQIA+ issues, and other challenges with life transitions.
I am trained in EMDR, CBT, and TF-CBT, and frequently incorporate polyvagal and somatic work into my clinical practice, as well as education into the neuroscience of the brain.
I practice from a strength-based and collaborative perspective, working with you or your child in building skills that can be incorporated into daily life well beyond the scope of therapy. I have a gender-affirming practice that strives to be inclusive of all persons.
