With over twenty years of experience, I provide a warm and supportive therapeutic environment for adults, adolescents and children. I have effectively helped clients with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, medical illness, pain management, relationship issues, divorce, ADHD, learning disabilities, eating disorders, OCD, developmental disability, etc.. I work with individuals, couples and families. I have earned both a Ph.D and a master's degree in counseling psychology, and am licensed in NJ and NY. Half of my practice is devoted to general issues listed above; the other half focuses on areas of pain managment and chronic illness.
Pain management and chronic illness are a clinical and research subspecialty. These issues can cause suffering, stress, anxiety and depression. My motivation in developing this specialty is to alleviate suffering, improve coping skills, maximize daily function, facilitate decisions regarding work return, and help families understand and support the client.
I look forward to working with you. Thank you for your consideration.
